Sommar Harborne, Birmingham

New-ish craft beer mini-pub, with a fair amount of semi-modern furniture fitted in. Decor limited to a few arty pictures and the three boards listing up to 18 beers and ciders. Hardly cheap, ranging from a £4.00 pint to £5.00 for a 1/3rd of Northern Monk Death imperial stout, but I stayed in centre ground with Buxton Rednik stout at £3.80 for a 2/3rd glass.

Take out a second mortgage before you even think about having a drink in this place! Only been in once - never again. No real ale, only gassy foreign stuff and bottles. Cost us over £16 for one Belgian and one British bottled beer, both of which were nothing special. Not for the serious Harborne drinker - most of the customers seemed to be foreign or one-drink-will-last-me-all-night beardies.

New micro-pub in Harborne. It has only been open 3 weeks and has been busy according to the barman. Interesting selection of drinks and the 2 we tried were in fine form. A good addition to the high street and well worth a visit.
