Parkerville, Herne Bay

A very blokey Micropub on our visit with a rumbustious atmosphere of tomfoolery and revellery that can only happen with the Auchentoshan is out at 7pm on a Wednesday. Beers are gravity fed. A no from me. Nice looking live music/comedy room at the rear.

With two small rooms, this is really more of a mini-pub than a micro one, but the furniture, decor, pump-less counter and general ambience are all very much of the genre. The real ales are kept on stillage in a cool-room behind the compact counter, where a decent selection of boxed ciders is also kept. Selection of four cask beers in a selection of styles, and I went for a very pleasant pale ale (which may have been River Cottage from Skinner's, £3.40). Also offers a wide choice of different gins.
