Long thin shop conversion with the counter at back raised up like some altar to craft. 26 taps on the back wall with a hard to read angled thin blackboard above each. This new addition to central Peterborough, has only been open for a couple of weeks and was converted from a former betting shop. As you step down into this bar, you enter a low ceilinged area, with tables and chairs each side. The walls are bare plastered and flooring is Italian style polished pebble tiles. This area is minimalistic and candlelit and was very dark, even on a bright sunny day. The bar is situated right down at the far end and opens up to a larger area with plenty of light. All of the beers are across 14 taps, which included 2 ciders. Beers are sold in 2/3rds and as usual in these modern bars, it was pricey. We suffered the cost on Three Blind Mice 617. Service at the bar was slow because of detailed information between beer connoisseurs.
