St Peter’s Tavern, Liverpool

Completing a walk of Liverpools religious buildings.... I never expected to get a good pint in one of the locations. This is Liverpools oldest church. Opens at 11am - although you probably have to ask why. I was one of about three punters in after midday on a Tuesday. An incredible church conversions - completed with the old memorials, stained glass windows and the alter. Side rooms and an upstairs. The sort of place you can spend an age having a mooch. Impressive cask selection (2026 GBG) and my TT Landlord Dark may have been a bit pedestrian but was in fine condition. In a city packed with interesting pubs, this is simply another one that needs to be added to the list for the pub tourist.
