Fez, Margate

This is a shop based micropub that is adorned with so much bric-a-brac it rather resembles the set of Steptoe and Son. Artefacts include an old record player with a selection of old LPs that can be played on request, a barber's chair, a row of old folding seats alongside one wall and a modern double bass that seemed pristine and looked playable. There is a small serving hatch with a cold room behind. The friendly Landlord was enthusing about a Ukelele night later that day which sounded like it was going to be something between a Ukelele tuition session and a sing-song. They had four beers on, various ciders and a few wines and soft drinks. Beers were G2 Sail Blonde, RCH PG Steam, Malt Anniversary Ale and Tonbridge Old Chestnut. I went for the Malt Anniversary and the Old Chestnut, both excellent at £3.00 a pint. I found this one to be a lot of fun and served excellent beer. It seems to be open from 12:00 daily.
