New build so not the character of the nearby conversions and a BrewDog lite interior. 3 real ales.

Good Beer Guide 2020. Airy new build - offering four cask, plenty of keg and lots of bottles. Covid Ordering over the web - which seems to be fully updated with everything available and works well. Pubby food available. Nice patio out the front.

big trendy bar on the docks, a bit like the Head of Steam these places are much more interesting than the average pub chain. However, the big push towards aloof table service and loud speaker music made it feel much more Euro-bar than pub. Decent ‘craft stout’ and lunch food, some very good early 80s pop playing, probably not for the traditionalists but it was enjoyable enough for an hour or so.

A good sized interior with the bar facing you as you enter. Their microbrewery was positioned in the corner on the right hand side and there was an open plan kitchen along the back on the left hand side of the bar, with the majority of this area set up for dining. The staff were pleasant and chatty and I got some helpful info about the latest beer pitchers which hold 8 pints of beer and are placed in the table centre, where you pour your own beer from a small tap underneath. Four handpumps along the front bar, so we went for the Shedhead, which was fine.
