The Cardinals Hat, Lincoln

Dating from 1521, this was a pub until around 1800 when it became an outlet for St. John’s Ambulance, seemingly to have been reinstated as a pub in 2015, the hat in question belonging to Cardinal Wolsey. This was a very lively pub at the time of our Friday evening visit at around 6.00pm, with a very animated atmosphere. I went for the Acorn Phantasm, which was a very nice beer. A must-visit when in Lincoln.
