Sadler's Peaky Blinder, Stourbridge

Tap house at first-floor level above and beside different parts of the brewery. Quite a large seating area can be found once one has navigated the staircase, with the bar area (featuring a substantial counter) off to the left. Functional furniture and limited decoration in both parts. Good selection of half-a-dozen real ales - including the reliable Sorcerer (£3.80) - plus up to six craft beers on the keg taps. Very handy for the station, but not open on Mondays or Tuesdays.

As noted below this is a purpose built first floor brewery bar. It's a fairly large area with solid wooden furnishings. There was a good crowd in on my Saturday afternoon visit which seemed to be made up of mostly younger folk. The bar has two sets of four hand pumps which had a range of Sadler's ales though there may have been the odd duplicate. I went for the Mud City Stout which was in good nick but at £4.40 was very expensive. This price may not raise an eyebrow in the South but in the Black Country they are still coming to terms with the £3.00 pint. Overall this place is a bit trendy and too expensive so I doubt that I would return despite the proximity of the station.
