North Taproom: Snow Hill, Birmingham

A modern craft keg bar in a new development close to the main entrance to Snow Hill station. There is exterior seating protected by the building overhang,while inside the bar runs the full length of the left side,the rest of the space has either drinking shelves or high tables with modern metal furniture.There is a seperate open kitchen operated by Little Bao Boy offering asian small dishes and monthly larger dish specials. The 22 taps are not all for beer,some offer wine,cocktails and sparkling cider but there will be around 14 beers with a variety of styles,IPA's,Pilsners,Sours,Porter etc ,mainly from North Brewing but also including on my trip three guests chosen by North from brewers they respect and often brew in collaberation with. No real ale,but a wide choice of keg,generally priced by the schooner.My North Full Fathom 5 ,a coffee and coconut porter was enjoyable and £5 for a schooner. I would pop in again to give something exotic a go ,but maybe not base myself here for a session.It serves it's purpose well and is worth including on a crawl.
