Drygate, Glasgow

Drygate is a brewery bar, located in the East End of Glasgow, just around the corner from the Tennents factory. Here, it's your modern craft keg, though with several "guests" from the big brother next door. As an all-in-one kind of venue, food is available most of the day and they'll take your reservation for a table. Live sport is shown (cycling this afternoon), though without sound - you get a variety of music instead. Reasonable enough, which you'll have to make an effort to get to, as well as face the prospect of there not being much else nearby.

Collaboration brewery between Tennent's and Williams Bros, on the western part of the former's Wellpark Brewery site. Downstairs a modern-style taproom and kitchen, with nine regular beers, five rotational taps (including my Ceòl Mor, £5.30), Menabrea and three Edinburgh ciders. Also has a handpump in occasional use, and the Drygate brewing vessels can be seen at the back. A linked concert venue can also be found upstairs with another bar (with a smaller but still good choice of the craft beers).
