Wigan's newest real ale bar opened in December last year and is a one roomed moderately sized bar situated in a mid 19th century arch right next to Wigan North Western railway station.The bar faces you on entry with to the right of this is the "Beer Library" which is a cabinet of bottled beers including over 20 from local brewers.There is also 3 carriage type booths on the right and to the left wooden stools and a few tables. The bar is a first class refreshment booth with 2 regular beers and 5 rotating guest ones which included Manchester Skyline from the Brightside Brewing Co,Totem from the Prospect brewery,Jester from the Abbeydale brewing company and the one i went for was the coffee flavoured Squawk Expresso Stout from the Bean Brothers and Squawk brewery which was a 6.5% cask and you could certainly taste the coffee but the jury is still out on that one. There is a real ale discount i think from Monday to Wednesday and from Monday 12th a regular pub quiz is to start

New real ale place built under railway arch. 7 real ales. Recommended. Handy for station.
