Shepherds' Hall Ale House, Chorley

One room micro although bigger than some. Bar to right rear. One IPA over 5% ABV, the rest of the six (in total) hand pumps under 4.5% ABV. Not a bad place just over the road from the Ale Station.

This is a micropub that will have been going three years this summer. It's a typical one consisting of a smallish rectangular room with a wooden floor, low tables benches and stools and a few bits of taller furniture at the front. There are some pictures on the walls and the obligatory collection of pump clips. The small bar counter has five hand pumps which had RAT Mother Rat & Ratmospheric, Phoenix Navvy, Brightside Amarillo and Blackedge Pike. I went for the Mother Rat (£3.00) which was excellent. This is Chorley's first micropub and a good one. It's a town that now has four and somewhere I would more than happily return to when I would revisit this GBG 2017 listed micropub.

A good little micropub offering 5 real ales. A single room.
