The Cellar, Aberaeron

The Cellar is primarily a restaurant, but a small bar by the entrance does support cask Doom Bar, Guinness, Peroni, Carling and Stowford Press Cider. I had a look at the menu whilst passing on a recent Monday afternoon, but it was very busy and the lunch menu looked a bit full on. Therefore, family and I decided to stick with the chippie a couple of doors down. We did manage to visit for a beer one evening a couple of days later when it was much quieter; it was very pleasant sitting on the front terrace that overlooks the harbour. I found the service to be very friendly and maybe I will try the food if I ever return to the area.

Yes there is a small bar area but this place functions much more as a restaurant than a bar. We ate here once during our weeks vacation and as the ubiquitous Doombar was on the one handpump available I actually shared a bottle of wine. Food was OK but not exceptional enough for us to return at the expense of other venues in town that were dispensing something other than Doombore.
