Beefeater Birmingham South, Birmingham

A modern build, fronted by glass, and rammed up the back of a Premier Inn in the new development at Longbridge. It has a patio. The interior has a single dog-leg room with wood floor and walls of yellow and wood. It does, even with the rustic wood tables, lack character. There are no pictures and all but two people were eating - although to be fair, they would see them selves as a restaurant. There is a mix of high stools and comfy chairs and a wine display is ensconced in one corner. I didn't see a TV and the music was general and at a decent level. The service was fine and a mixed clientele were sampling the food delights. The most interesting thing was the clocks showing different time zones (assuming they were working). Beer; usual tap stuff with a fair enough Doombar on handpull. One for the food.
