The Volunteer Inn, Ashton Central, Ashton-Under-Lyne

CLOSED Ashton pub that was rebuilt in it's present form inn 1887 and was one of 39 pubs within a quarter of a mile in this area.The pub was situated across the road from the armoury and the drill hall of the Volunteer Regiment which gave rise to the pubs name.
