The earlier description of “neon-splattered drinking den” still stands, though it has possibly got worse since the previous review. Entering from the street across a pile of chewing gum and fag ends brings you into a slightly surreal foyer from which the metal open stairs lead you to the pink-lit bar and gaming areas, you’re met with the aroma of stale vape and failed air freshener, a bit like the smell of an over-cleaned public toilet. The restaurant seems to have been replaced by another pink neon room, and no food is offered. They major on cocktails, no real ale, but there were keg beers on tap – Neck Oil, S-Bit and Amstel, plus Orchard Thieves cider and a wide range of canned and bottled beers from an over-active fridge. The staff were friendly enough, though not very cheerful. I’ll pass on this one in future.
