Red Willow’s conversion of a 1930s shop into a modern and elegant craft bar, it’s a nice job. Just a square room with banquette seating down one side, stools at a drinking shelf and sofas on the other where the counter isn’t. Tall and low tables take up the centre ground, there’s a corridor at the back leading to the gents and disabled toilet with more stools at a shelf. The counter runs down the left side and has five pulls with Red Willow beers, excellent condition as it should be in a brewery owned pub, fourteen keg beers and three still ciders. Only a few of the customers had beards or wore beanie hats and/or lumberjack shirts, the staff were clean shaven chaps. It uses lined glasses which is quite welcome in these days of perennial short measure.
