Royal Oak, New Basford, Nottingham

The Royal Oak was a proper old looking pub with a bare brick front,the pub was situated at the top end of nottingham road. Once inside the pub had two rooms with a very basic bar and a smart lounge,i usually had a drink in the bar which i found to be a nice room to have a drink in. The pub used to be a Shipstones tied house and there were two real ales on the bar with both Shipstones bitter and mild being really nice drinks here. I think this pub is still open but i dont know what beers are now on here. Pub first visited 27/11/1982 Photo taken 1985
