The George Inn, Oakham

The Whipper-In Hotel is a decent looking pub that is situated on Oakhams small market place. Once inside there was one long room which ran the width of the pub,the left side had a beamed ceiling and was carpeted,the seating was mainly settees with cushions,the right side was down a couple of steps,this area looked more modern with bare pine boards and tables and chairs,these were laid out for diners. There was one real ale on the bar which was Grainstore Triple B,this was a very nice drink. There were a few older women having coffees and we were thee only drinkers,the pub was far too quiet for my liking. This is not really the sort of pub i like to drink in. Pub visited 19/10/2013
