The Corn Exchange (JD Wetherspoon), Bury St. Edmunds

As noted below this is situated in the grand old Victorian Corn Exchange which is a listed building. The fact that the lower part of the building consists of shops and that this JDW is situated in a room built into the upper half of the original building means that to me it just looks weird. I could see no sign of any air conditioning which made me wonder what it would be like in Scorchio weather. Although there are ten hand pumps the choice was dismal with one broken, two unused, one available soon, Ruddles, Doom Bore, Pedigree, Jennings Cumberland, Woodforde Wherry and Wainwright Rat Race a third offering from the Marston stable. I had a bottle of Oakham Green Devil instead (£2.99). All in all I thought this one was pretty hopeless.
