John Millington, Cheadle

A Hydes pub in an interesting old building that has been opened out and modernised with a degree of sympathy. There are some nice features, including stone mullioned windows. My half of Bone Grubber (no, I don't know what it means or why they've named a beer this way) was pretty decent, and one of five Hydes beers available at the time of my visit. I wish I could say the same for the background music, which was varied (or do I mean variable) but almost certainly too loud. Service was friendly, so overall I rate my visit as a 6, but I'm not sure I would make a special effort to come here again. Date of visit: 27th April 2022
