County & Station, Matlock

This pub used to be a Free house with a lot of pumps on the bar,it is now a Marstons house. Once inside there is a small dining area to the right and the longish bar is to the left this runs to the back of the pub which has a pool table there. We sat at a large round table at the front looking out of the bay window it was nice watching the world go by but this was the most sticky table i have ever sat at we had to put beer mats in different parts of the table so our arms did'nt get stuck to the table. There were three real ales on the bar i tried a pint of Marstons Pedigree this was a little bit below par there was also Jennings Cumberland and Hobgoblin on. I think if they gave the pub a bit of a clean it might be a bit more appealing.
