Emerald Wine Bar, Derby

Mansion Wine Bar is a newish bar that is fairly close to the train station. I noticed the A board outside advertising real ales,so i decided to give this one a go. Once inside there is an oblong shaped room which had a tiled floor,the bar was on the right side and the main drinking area was on the left side which was slightly raised,this area had leather seating in bays with one table in each bay,i found sitting here a bit uncomfortable,there is a long wall mirror running down this side of the room making it look bigger than what it is, the dining areas are either side of the entrance,these areas are also slightly raised and all tables here were laid out. There were two pumps on the bar,both having Doom Bar on,i had a drink of this and it was a decent enough drink,but it was a bit expensive at £1.75 for a half. There were a few people dining and i found the place to be pretty laid back. Pub visited 14/8/2013
