Sir John Warren, Ilkeston

The Sir John Warren is a large stand alone pub. I first went in this pub in the early 80s when it had two rooms and it was a Kimberley tied house. Things have changed a lot since then the pub has been opened out into a very large room which has lots of different drinking areas,the pub is quite smart with normal type seating and it gets very busy at most times of the day. This pub is now a Greene King tied house and there are usually three real ales on here from the GK stable,if i have a drink here it is usually GK brewed Olde Trip which is drinkable but not as good as when Kimberley brewed it. I prefered this pub before it was altered and the photo was taken when the pub was still a Kimberley house and unaltered. Pub first visited 1980 Last visited very recently Photo taken 23/6/1988
