The Dog & Duck, Mutley, Plymouth

Worth it for the comedy. Initially, I was going to document a couple of stories but a) you wouldnt believe me and b) snitches get stitches. Night club downstairs. Very relaxed people upstairs. Pub table. Loud music. I blame my brother, who I think wanted me to get a few stories

The Dog and Duck wasn’t on my list, but I liked the name and the frontage intrigued me so went in. I wish I hadn’t bothered to be honest. This is a long thin dimly lit bar with a late night student feel. At the front is a pool table that was being used by a couple of numpties and dotted around were a few students who definitely spend more time in here than in their lectures. The bar up the left wall supports standard and premium keg. The music was gangster rap, to the delight of the aforementioned numpties. There are some old pump clips around the walls so once upon a time this place served cask, but not now. I was glad to leave.
