Browns Brighton, Brighton

Browns is a bar and brasserie that should not to be confused with the restaurant part a few doors away. Apart from a group of eight girls sitting at a large table in one of the tucked away areas at the rear I was the only customer on the Tuesday evening I visited. The service was polite in an insincere way and I was very surprised to not receive my change on a silver tray. Amstel, Kozel, Peroni, Pilsner Urquell and Guinness were all available on draught and the usual bottled beers were sitting in the fridges. Obviously there is no TV, but there was some crap euro pop playing in the background. This place is not cheap and not my scene so I’ll be avoiding in future.

The bar and restaurant are in two separate buildings a couple of doors away from one another.
