Bohemia House, West Hampstead, NW6

Visited 06/05/25. Visited previously 19/12/23. No cask here. Keg offering of Budvar lager and the Pilsner, the dark beer and the AF offering from them also. Also, on offer was the Pilsner Urquell, Meantime Anytime, Radegast lager and the Martina lager from Bohem. This is a traditional Czech restaurant with a bar area on the opposite side to the main restaurant area. It is essentially a hostelry in a grand West Hampstead property. The bar area has a small servery on the rear right-hand wall with waist high dark wallboards and upper white painted wall with lots of Czech memorabilia on said walls. A TV high in the corner opposite the servery was showing ice hockey absent commentary, the sound being provided by a Rolling Stones compilation on my visit. A tan leather banquette ran round the wall from the left of the door to the rear left corner serving tables that were also laid for diners. There was a small patio area out the back and there was a larger paved area out the front with several picnic style benches to sit at. Interesting venue to try, particularly if you like Eastern European food with your lager!

The former Czech & Slovak Club is now more clearly open to all as a pub / restaurant (albeit with the same general look). Small patio at the front to catch the early evening sun, several different lounges and dining rooms on two levels as well as the bar area at the back, and a large (if very plain) lower beer garden to the rear. Pilsner Urquell of course, and three varieties of Budvar, plus Radegast 12 and the more local Matilda from Bohem (with an ownership link, and very tasty) and Meantime's Anytime IPA. Plenty of themed events advertised.
