Walters, Grimsby

Walters is a square pub with four booths that sit under the leaded windows that are part of the mock Tudor frontage. There isn’t much more seating, so the pub feels a little bare. There is a function room advertised, as is live music from 17:00 on Sundays. Karaoke is held here on Wednesdays and Saturdays. The television was off with no signs for live sport. During my Wednesday afternoon visit there were some very boisterous locals in attendance who were listing to the jukebox which had been turned up to near maximum volume. Out the back is a smoking area with no furniture. The small bar is stocked with standard keg and the two hand pumps were unused. I didn’t see any signs for food. I found the barman to be friendly, but this is a very basic boozer that I will leave to the locals in future.
