Oddfellows Arms, Manchester

The Oddfellows Arms is carpeted through except around the bar where laminate flooring can be found. Standard and Premium keg were available during a recent Tuesday evening visit, but the two hand pumps were unused in this Craft Union pub. The televisions throughout were airing muted football via Prime TV and the was some background music playing from the likes of Luther Vandross, not my sort of thing to be honest. Banquettes and tables are found throughout and there’s also a pool table. The governor was friendly, but this place has the feel of a generic high street boozer.

Much larger than it looks from the outside. There's a small front bar and much larger tap room to the rear with a pool table and dartboard. Lots of quotes around the walls in the small spaces not covered in TV's, there's loads of them! There's even 2 TV's in The Gents! 2 handpumps on the bar, but only Doom Bore actually on, it was in decent nick though and at £2.70 was cheap enough. There's karaoke and/or live music at weekends. There's a note on the wall stating that they have 16 CCTV cameras installed at the insistence of the police. Make of that what you will, but it was peaceful enough on a Friday, early evening.
