The Rook Taproom, Brighton

I popped into the Prince Arthur last Monday evening at about 21:00 and found a quiet pub run by two friendly gentlemen. There is a seating area at the rear of the pub that I had no need to visit, but I got the feeling that it leads to an outside area. The bar is located at the front of the pub and is stocked Thatcher’s cider along with some standard draught products and one of the hand pumps was unused leaving Harvey’s Best as the ale option. There wasn’t much light as most of it came from the candles on the tables and there is no television, but some background music was playing. Food is served with the main dishes coming in between £9 and £13 and sandwiches that cost £5. The décor is modern and there was a good atmosphere, but this is a place I’m more likely to revisit with the wife.
