The Elsted Inn, Midhurst

Originally built as a station pub on a now defunct Petersfield to Midhurst railway line , the pub now sits isolated in the West Sussex countryside. There is a central bar with three seperate walk through rooms, what appears to be the main drinking area at the front of the pub is furnished with barstools, armchairs and a couple of normal tables and chairs. Three locals all around the 80 year old mark were present on my visit sat chatting in the armchairs and seemed very at home. Four handpumps were on the bar with the simple choice of two beers , London Pride and Hogs Back TEA, I opted for the Tea and was warned by the Landlady it was the first one out today so I should let her know if it wasn't up to standard, she came back to check but it was fine. A pleasant enough country pub but I suspect it doesn't get too many passers by.
