The Lead Station, Manchester

Steps flanked by wooden seating ascend to the entrance of Lead Station where there is a bar counter to the left that faces seating in the front window. The rest of the ground floor feels more like a restaurant, including waitresses walking around. The toilets are upstairs, as is the Copper Room which I imagine is available for hire. The bar supports a single handpump which was drawing Northern Whisper’s Beltie. It was good, but being charged £3 for half a 4.8% stout is a piss take. There are five keg options, three from Shin Digger alongside San Miguel and Orchard Thieves Cider. The barman was friendly, but I’ll not be paying these rip of prices in here again.
