Royal Norfolk Hotel, Folkestone

Looks deceive here appears to be a very traditional hotel with quite an austere look. However, the bar at the right-hand end has lighter-than-expected décor and is quite pub-like, with a mix of seating, a side dining room and a pool table in the rear extension. Live music also advertised. "Real Ales x3 on hand pull pumps" are advertised outside, although only two of these were working when I visited, offering Bombardier and Shepherd Neame's Whitstable Bay pale ale (£4.70). The latter brewery's 'small batch' First Drop session IPA was also available on one of the keg taps.
