The Lobster Shack, Whitstable

As described by Roger, below, we weren’t certain it was open unto we actually got to the door as it was dark and the path in isn’t obvious until you realise where it is. Being quite dark and windy, no-one was sitting outside. The young staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful, they were happy for us to bring the dogs in, and they made time to chat to us and bring water for the dogs without being asked. No real ale on, but there was a cider from a local mill. Craft ales were Sundowner, Wrack and Ruin, Whitstable Bay Lager and Whitstable Bay Mild, plus PiP High Diver cider. It’s not bad as these places go, certainly somewhere to which I’d return to enjoy the view and maybe eat next time.
