The multi-room interior has lost almost all character it might once have had, with just some of the faux-timber ceilings still retained. The furniture and decor is naturally as anonymous as you might fear... Even the Doom Bar clips on two of the three handpumps proved to be a mirage, so it had to be the keg Marston's 61 Deep (£3.20) in preference to the dreaded John Smiths.
