Forge Inn, Chesterfield

A detached brick build, with an low-level extension on the front in white. The interior is open plan, L-shaped around a small bar. The decor mainly is white artex. There is a pool table. There are no real pictures or other decoration to speak of, the place is very functional. Service was OK, the clientele were mixed and friendly enough, as i knew someone in there. Beer; all tap stuff, sadly the Banks's MILD wasn't on, so i ended up with Mansfield Smooth - no real ale. As i say, its a basic and functional place.

what can we say, a truely fantastic night out. attentive staff, well kept ales (we had to travel to dublin to get a better pint of guiness). furnished to a very high standard, even the toilets are art deco!!!!. Food offerings need updating as we were given bread and dripping
