Brondes Age, Kilburn, NW6

Odd-looking place close to Brondesbury station, with patio seating out front under a large awning. Inside, the 'U'-shaped bar divides two rooms, the larger of which has a dining area and separate dining room beyond. 80s furniture and decor, including a curious hand-shaped chair near the door. No real ale, and a bit of an atmosphere, so it was a quick pint of Guinness and I was off...

This isn't the most aesthetically pleasing place with a stainless steel bar and exposed house brick interior with tired looking red panelling around the doors. The barmaid that served me was very friendly, but there is no real ale and the Guinness was off during my visit leaving only a selection lagers available. There are plasma screens and a projector screen for showing Sky Sports, but during my visit when the rugby had finished the loud dance music reared its ugly head. There is some covered seating out the front on Kilburn High Road, but it isn't the most pleasant place to sit and have a beer. This maybe ok for watching the football, but I'll not be returning.
