A traditional Victorian boozer hidden amongst the terraces in this corner of town, they don't get much better than this. There's a fairly spartan public bar, then a comfortable smoke room to the rear, all retaining many original features. Indeed some of the friendly regulars may well be original features, it's the sort of place that inspires loyalty. On the beer front - it's a GBG regular by the way - there's various Everard's brews plus a couple of guests, all top notch stuff. It's well worth seeking out, and seek you will, it isn't easy to find, as one of the best in town.
