Sheffield Tap, Sheffield

Pub was busy as usual when we called in at the end of our Sheffield visit yesterday, but we were able to have a couple of their Tapped Brew Co beers. Both Ember and Pegler were fine. We did have to stand in the corridor to drink but it was a good way to end a perfect day round the good ale pubs of Sheffield.

There was a time when a station pub had the feel of a last-chance saloon. Not any more! The Sheffield Tap is smart, clean & comfortable with a good selection of excellent beer, much from Thornbridge a few miles down the tracks, but also featuring renowned breweries from around the land. Given the location, you could either include it at the start or end of your Sheffield pub-crawl: I'd recommend the former, so that you can really appreciate the place.
