Red Cow, Smethwick

Substantial brick-built pub set back from the main road a bit. The multi-room interior may retain some of its original form, but the two main seating areas (and side rooms) on either side of the central bar have had almost all character refurbished out of existence. However, it does still do food, with the usual separate ordering point. Also has a pair of pool tables. No real ale of course, but at least M&B Mild (£3.50) is still available from the various keg taps.

Jumping on the Desi bandwagon - after an excellent article in Pellicle Magazine. Your not coming here for the beer - although Keg Staropramen, Cobra, Stella and an M&B mild are available. Its the food - bring friends and go for a sharing mixed grill (the baby cow mixed grill is available for the lonely). Definitely an experience!
