The Blacksmiths Inn, Battle

Of Ninfield's two pubs, The Blacksmiths Arms seems preferable to me, with its emphasis on good ale and locally sourced food. One handpump serves up Harveys, the other 3 offer a variety of micro-brewed beers, with a Sussex bias. Meals are excellent quality and very reasonably priced. With friendly staff and locals, I'd be happy to make it my local (if I lived considerably closer!).
