The Old Post Office, Stevenage

Noisy place, this, with one large room with the bar to the left. Three or four real ales, the strongest of which was a slightly iffy Hobgoblin.

Nothing old about this Stonegate pub in an arcade of bars including Flava and the next-door Wetherspoons. Formed from a single square room with the counter along one side, a slightly-raised seating area in one corner and two pool tables in another. Also has a few small patio tables out front. Usual cheap food offers. Background music. On the real ale front, just Greene King IPA and Doom Bar (£2.95) available from two banks of three handpumps.
