Long narrow and scruffy place with the occasional spasmodic attempt at décor tidying-up which you can date quite easily. Pool table at the far end, a well-lubricated set of multi ethnic punters and a blaring jukebox with singalongs. No ale so a Guinness which tasted a bit different to normal (your guess is as good as mine). Friendly barman and patrons, which was a mild surprise.

Another nondescript place. One long room with the bar to the left. Keg only.
