The Horse & Groom, Henley Town, Henley-On-Thames

Greene King owned pub, offering two brews one of which was a seasonal - Ridleys Witchfinder which was flat and lifeless, nevermind. £3.10 is a bit expensive but we are in Henley I suppose. The pub interior has obviously had a recent overhaul (check out the 'New York by night' frieze on the right hand wall as you enter). I popped out to the pleasant garden to sup my beer (served in a thick handled mug which was a nice touch) where I met the pub dog. Despite the disappointing beer I'd give this place another go as I think there's potential there.
