The Slug & Lettuce, Worcester

Although housed in an imposing former church, I was prepared to be distinctly unimpressed by the conversion... but I wasn't. It is rather well done, combining some key historic features as well as being a usable commercial space. Most of the seating is at ground-floor level or on a slightly raised area on the left-hand side opposite the bar, but the are a few tables in the old pulpit area and (for the busy periods) a lot more on the gallery on three sides. That said, with Brixton Reliance (£6.60) being the least dull of a limited keg selection, you probably won't come here for the beer, but it's certainly worth a look inside.
