Old Ferry Inn, Fowey

Nice old pub at the bottom of the hill. Very handy for the Fowey ferry (hence the name!) being about a one minute walk from the Quay. And I would guess most of the pub's clientele are going to come from this route, there doesn't appear to be a massive amount in Bodinnick. There's a small patio area with terrific views down the estuary. Probably the best view of all the pubs in the Fowey area, although I guess the Galleon gives it a run for it's money. The amount of outside seating is quite small, only about half a dozen tables at most, so you might be lucky to find anything on a nice day. They have a sideline selling ice-cream which should keep the kids happy, and I enjoyed a very pleasant pint or two of Sharp's Orchard cider which I had not come across before.
