Part of the Prom Hotel, Pub on the Prom is a large L-shaped bar with a counter that supports standard and premium keg products alongside five hand pumps, I went for a Stella so didn’t note the cask choices. Televisions are located throughout; premier League replays were airing on a recent Tuesday evening while some background music played. The interior is art deco with large lights in the ceiling either side of the entrance and there’s some additional seating / a restaurant in the right rear behind a wall made from thick glass bricks. I was expecting a hotel bar vibe, but this place is a pub in its own right, and the service was very friendly so I’m glad that I visited.

Hardly in a promising area, being close by the Britannia Pier, but the sunny terrace with glazed screens caught my as well as did a Cask Marque sign. Within you find several neatly refurbished seating / dining areas in an overall 'L'-shaped arrangement. Lacons Encore, Woodforde's seasonal Nice Try, Golden Jackal from Wolf Brewery, Doom Bar and two Adnams beers - Southwold and Lighthouse - available from the two banks of three handpumps. Overall, much better than expected.
