The Albert, Huddersfield

Very much a traditional place. Its all slightly Victorian-like inside and is a nice pub. Beer wise its not so good with only 1 of 3 pumps on and only Speckled Hen being that one. Its not bad but its not great either.

The Albert Hotel is situated in the middle of Huddersfield. Once inside there is a small room to the front which has bench seating and chairs,the bar is up a few steps to the rear on the left side,there is more bench seating in this area,there is also a separate room to the rear which is square shaped and carpeted,the seating is comfy bench type and normal tables and chairs. There were three real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Copper Dragon Golden Pippin which went down well,the other beers were Black Sheep Special and Bombardier. This is a decent enough town pub to have a drink in. Pub visited 27/2/2016

Called in on the 30 Jan same as it was 40 years ago when i started drinking not very busy like the old days when all the local paper staff were in and out when it was open. No cask on said they were waiting for the delivery it was nice and clean will call again
