The Berry, Walmer, Deal

A really good 'locals' pub. Real ales very well kept, a real fire, no background music & although there's a television - no sound. Great service, friendly welcome & dog friendly as a bonus. Pool table tucked away, quiz nights, garden area at the back & just a short stroll from the seafront. All in all a little gem.

Found this gem recently. A traditional pub specialising in Real Ales, indeed recently voted CAMRA pub of the year 2008 by the local camra branch. Also does an increasing number of real ciders. Landlord seems to have a real passion for his beers, the way they're kept and displaying information about each one. I understand a web site www.theberrywalmer.co.uk is in preparation which will give all info about beers both on sale and due on sale. Great !
