Albion Hotel, Hyde

A typical town centre boozer. Open plan with no real ale despite there being 2 handpumps on the bar. The rear has a sunken area with wooden floors which may or may not double as a boxing area depending on the quantities of fizz drank. Not the best though there was some decent late 70s early 80s indie style music coming through the jukie.

called in it was ok like most pubs in the area rough and ready so you no what you are going to get no hand pull on

The Albion is a fairly basic looking pub that is in the pedestrianised area in the middle of Hyde. Once inside i went in a room that looked like a lounge but this room looked like it had seen better days,the pub was a Wilsons tied house when i went in it and there were two real ales on the bar i had a drink of Wilsons bitter which was a decent enough drink the other beer was Websters bitter. I thought this pub was on its last legs so it is nice to see it still up and running. Pub visited 9/12/1994
